The location of 44 Surrey Mall is what originally attracted us to this home. This beautiful neighborhood is great for walking and made up of several single family homes with a diverse group of families. We love going for early morning walks or catching the sunset later in the evening. We enjoy socializing with the friendly neighbors and getting to watch them raise their families.
This home has been maintained very well and is in excellent condition. One of our favorite rooms in the house is the family room! The fireplace is so cozy and easy to use in the winter time. It was converted to a gas fireplace within the last 5 years so it’s easy to turn on. We love using the wine refrigerator and cabinetry when guests come over. Another feature we will miss is the wet bar located in between the kitchen and family room – perfect for entertaining! The kitchen appliances are fairly new including the refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher and a second refrigerator located in the basement. We are grateful this home was built on a rise, so the rain and water flow away from the house. Therefore, we’re lucky to have never dealt with water damage.
All of the rooms are oversized, including the master suite, which includes a large walk-in closet, double vanity sinks, and a jetted soak tub with a separate standing shower. This house has a ton of storage! All the guest bedrooms have double sliding door closets. The full upstairs guest bathroom includes a double sink and bathtub.
This home is full of natural light highlighted by the sunroom located off the kitchen. The sliding glass door connects the kitchen and sunroom and lets in a lot of natural light. This room accentuates the beautiful private backyard and brick patio where the grill is located. The back side of the house faces a “forever wild” designated location which is full of woods and local wildlife.
Located in the Slingerlands Hamlet of the Town of Bethlehem, access to interstate highways makes for an easy commute around the Capital Region. This home is located 0.8 miles from the nearest US Post Office, 1.0 mile from the Plaza which has Price Chopper, several restaurants, banks, convenience stores, and only a four minute walk to the Albany-Voorheesville Rail Trail! The closest school which is walking distance, Slingerlands Elementary School, has performed as one of the top performing elementary schools in the Capital District.
